Industrial Optimization in the Quantum Era

Quantum computing is often perceived as a future technology—powerful in theory, but still distant from real-world application. This perception is rapidly becoming outdated. In this session, we aim to demonstrate that quantum computing is no longer confined to research labs, but is beginning to deliver tangible value in industrial contexts today.
The key is not to view quantum computing in isolation. Real impact emerges when it is combined with existing technologies such as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. This integrated approach allows complex industrial problems—previously considered intractable—to be addressed more effectively. Bringing together perspectives across the stack, the session features contributions from hardware (IQM), algorithm development (Kvantify), and orchestration (42de). Each speaker will provide a focused 10-minute impulse, followed by a joint panel discussion.
We will explore concrete application domains such as materials and battery development, workforce scheduling, and large-scale optimization problems, highlighting where hybrid quantum-classical approaches are already showing measurable improvements. In many industrial settings, inefficiencies of 5–15% still persist—creating significant economic potential when addressed with more advanced computational methods. Beyond showcasing use cases, the session focuses on a central question: how can organizations move from experimentation to adoption?
Participants will gain insights into:
- where quantum computing can already create value today
- how to integrate it into existing IT and data landscapes
- what architectural approaches enable scalable deployment
- and how to assess real business impact and ROI.

Die World of Quantum Roadshow ging weiter: Vom 2. - 5. Juni 2025 auf der transport logistic in München, der weltweiten Leitmesse für Logistik, Mobilität, IT und Supply Chain Management, gab es wieder einen eigenen World of Quantum Stand.
Wie Quantentechnologie dafür sorgt, dass die Logistik effizienter und sicherer wird?
Dank der enormen Rechenleistung von Quantencomputern können beispielsweise komplexe Routenoptimierungen in Echtzeit berechnet werden, was zu effizienteren Transportwegen und geringeren Kosten führt. Auch die Lagerverwaltung profitiert von präziseren Prognosen und einer verbesserten Bestandsoptimierung. Zudem ermöglicht die Quantenkryptografie eine sichere Datenübertragung, was die Cybersicherheit in globalen Lieferketten erhöht. Das und viel mehr konnten Sie bei uns am Stand und in unserem Forenprogramm erfahren.
Erfolgreicher Start: WoQ@electronica
Die World of Quantum startete mit ihrer Roadshow vom 12. bis 15. November 2024 auf der electronica, der Weltleitmesse und Konferenz der Elektronik. Hier präsentierte sich die World of Quantum mit einem Stand und einem Forenprogramm. Die Experten des Munich Quantum Valleys unterstützten uns als Partner am Stand dabei.
Das Fazit: Ein voller Erfolg! Am World of Quantum Stand war immer was los und wir konnten viele spannende Gespräche führen. Die Forenvorträge waren ebenfalls sehr gut besucht.
Warum wir auf der electronica waren? Wir haben vor allem der Halbleiter- und der Automobilindustrie gezeigt, welche Lösungen die Quantentechnologie und vor allem das Quantencomputing für sie bereits im Angebot hat. Und natürlich die Werbetrommel für die World of Quantum 2025 gerührt.
